Recently (as in last night), I wrote an op-ed piece for KeeneOpines regarding the practices the Free Staters choose to take regarding their endeavor to “liberty”, whatever “liberty” may be. I pointed out examples where their tactics are lowly and nonproductive. I provided an opinion that differed from their own and a topic that I felt was necessary for the public. It is not my fault that they have an issue with my difference in opinion because that is their emotions getting to them. I have become increasingly vocal as I have aged and it is my nature to openly question those that question because there is no such thing as a perfect solution. It is like advertising you have a cure-all when in reality you don’t.
The response I have seen from the Free Staters included only quotes from my post, someone stated “someone should learn him how to use the paragraph” (note the grammar), and that they don’t value my posts because it isn’t news. Unfortunately, KeeneOpines is not a news outlet, it’s an outlet for opinions which will work with The Keene Observer. It is also nice to see that they don’t value my posts, but why would anyone think of their posts as higher quality? The accusatory nature of their “reporting” makes their news look a lot like propaganda.
They may make personal attacks on me, but I don’t care. I am in New York and they are in New Hampshire. If they are entitled to attack the establishment, I should be allowed to do so also. Seeing the Free Staters’ reactions provide me with a smile that lasts for days. Like I’ve said before, I’m not going away, because this will become my career. It’s time to Observe, Report, and Live. It’s time for The Keene Observer, KeeneOpines, Keene Observes, and PecNet.
Good Luck, Free Staters. May the best outlet win.
